My career begin in 1992 as a trainee PC Support Technician at P&P Micro Distributors Ltd in Haslingden, Lancashire. Supporting around 1000 staff over several locations nationally I developed my skills through training and practical experience.
In 1997 I was transferred to a new subsidiary of P&P called Acuma Solutions Ltd as Operations Support Technician where I set up and maintained the core IT systems, network and communications infrastructure.
Acuma relocated to South Manchester in 2001 where I became an IT Support Consultant. During this time I studied for and passed several Microsoft exams and became a Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.
I left full time employment in December 2007 and am now a self-employed web designer, freelance IT Consultant and offer PC repair and maintenance through Keep Your PC Happy.
My web design portfolio can be seen at www.simonrimmington.co.uk. Please feel free to take a look and get in touch if you'd like a quote for a website.
